In recent years we have seen major shifts in how the local news services operate. Their viewing areas have grown immensely and their forecasting has become driven by advertising dollars and ratings - all of which makes for dramatic and entertaining viewing, and none of which provides you with usable information as to the impact of weather on your properties, employees and customers.

At Twin City Outdoor Services, we spend the entire winter forecasting weather events and in order to provide you with prompt, reliable service. We subscribe to multiple weather services and analyze each of the five major computer models daily. Thus, we track weather events days before they appear on the NWS site and usually a week before the local media.

When weather is studied in a purely scientific matter, with media distractions removed, forecasting how weather will affect our lives and businesses becomes extremely accurate. This approach gives us the advantage of providing you with proactive, efficient services.
